Learning Standards Added (if any)

None

Summary of Your Adaptation

Students will create a School Bill of Rights and a School Constitution; they will research and prepare an interactive presentation (including Glogster) to present to the Administration and the Faculty Senate at the school. The students will create a "closed" wiki--open only to the faculty to allow for the posting of comments. The students will take the comments and revise their docuents and re-present to the Admin and Fac Sen. for their approval. After Adm and Fac Sen approval, the Constitution and Bill of Rights will be posted to an open wiki for students comments. After the comment period, a vote will be held to determine the passage or failure of the acceptance fo the documents. From the comments on the wiki the students will again modify the documents, return to the Administration and Faculty Senate for final ratification. After ratification, the Administration, Faculty Senate, and students will utilize these documents to guide the implementation and/or guidance of the student government.

How you strengthened the use of technology and the Indicators of Engaged Learning

The students are creating an interactive presentation that will be present to an authentic audience, publish the documents to a closed and an open wiki, revising the documents to work toward ratification of the documents and continue to use the documents to guide student govenment. This is a 21st Centtury Forum for students to address pertinent issues that affect their personal and educational concerns.
